Dorothy L. Sayers dedicated the final fourteen years of her life to the study and translation of Dante's 'Divine Comedy'. While she published the first two volumes, 'Hell' and 'Purgatory', during her lifetime, the third volume, 'Paradise', remained unfinished at her death in 1957. It was later completed by her friend Barbara Reynolds, showcasing Sayers' deep engagement with Dante's themes and her literary prowess across various genres.
