International Comparative Approaches to Free Speech and Open Inquiry (FSOI)

Controversies surrounding free speech and open inquiry in the Anglophone world are critically examined, highlighting a decline in these liberties over the past decade. The authors contend that university authorities and government bodies contribute to this erosion by enforcing language restrictions and fostering cancel culture, which threatens liberal democratic values and scientific research. Unlike many discussions focused on the American First Amendment, this work broadens the perspective to include other Anglo countries and features diverse scholarly viewpoints across various disciplines.
