Standardisation of the Command Language during Manoeuvring under (Tug-)Assistance

Focusing on maritime communication, this thesis explores enhancing the International Maritime Organization's Standard Marine Communication Phrases (SMCPs) by incorporating specific commands for maneuvering vessels with tug assistance. It presents a set of newly developed English language commands designed to ensure safe operations in ports worldwide, addressing a critical gap in current maritime communication standards. The research aims to improve safety and efficiency in tug-assisted navigation.
