The second part shifts to a comedic exploration of philosophers attempting to establish a new religion based on reason, facing ridicule from traditional authorities. Through satire and irony, Carus critiques the dogmatic nature of both religious and philosophical institutions, advocating for free thought and intellectual freedom.
