The Cat and the Captain

Intrepid explorer, Matthew Flinders, circumnavigated and charted the coast of Australia between 1802 - 1803 accompanied by his faithful cat, Trim. The two overcame every obstacle they encountered, until they were imprisoned by the French as spies sailing to Mauritius. What became of them; did they find the fame and fortune they were searching for?
