When new teacher Sheba Hart arrives at St George's, a North London comprehensive school, everyone senses that this young and attractive woman will be different from the rest of her colleagues. Not in the least history teacher Barbara Covett, a lonely woman who desperately seeks for her attention. But before too long Sheba gets involved in an affair with one of her pupils.
