Everything always catches up with you. “The Tragical Talents of Jan-Nicklas H.” It’s a grey, icy, and cold day, the 6th of December 2008 to be precise, a day on which the 24 year old Jan-Nicklas H. sits on the bunk bed of a prison cell following his conviction. For the very first time in his life Jan-Nicklas H. is forced to take an honest and ruthless look at his thoroughly botched life, a life which should have been quite different. Winner of the Federal Prize for Literature and Mathematics, scholarship holder, and talented competitive athlete, all doors were wide open to him. Yet he made a different choice, a choice to use and abuse his talents for all the wrong purposes; to manipulate events, his friends, and situations falling deeper and deeper into the complexities of his obscure experiments while deliberately accepting that, in the process, some will die for these experiments. Jan-Nicklas H. manipulates those around him, violates happiness, and punishes those that stand in his way on the playing field of life with incredible and unimaginable harshness.
