This is a compilation of the author’s interviews with American people from all walks of life, that include former US government executives and top diplomats journalists and authors, academics, the CEO’s and blue collar employees, students and activists, who play a significant role in shaping US Government and politics per se. They were interviewed about their hopes and expectations of their elected leader. The American image abroad has been tarnished by the Iraq war, President-elect Barack Obama has promised to restore its credibility regain its status quo in international politics as the most powerful nation on earth. The US has been confronted with numerous challenges in the last few months even before the presidential election. Those issues or challenges it face have been the focal point of discussions and debates by both presidential candidates, such as housing or mortgage crisis as well as the very recent bankruptcy of giant credit institutions and the auto industry that led to a global economic turmoil. Will President-elect Obama able to renew American leadership and its world standing as economic Superpower? To answer this question, the author has interviewed as well some Heads of State, e. g. PRIME MINISTERS, PRESIDENTS and TOP FOREIGN DIPLOMATS to give their personal views, judgment and impression of their incoming fellow leader.
