Nature of Monsters

Set against the backdrop of post-Great Fire London, the story follows a pregnant woman who escapes the flames, later giving birth to a disfigured child. Fast forward to 1718, sixteen-year-old Eliza Tally becomes an apothecary's maid, concealing her own scandalous situation. As she navigates her new life, she uncovers dark secrets about her employer and his experiments, realizing she must take action to protect herself and those around her, including the enigmatic Mary, the existing maid shrouded in mystery.
