This novel draws character studies of people who experience life in Manhattan in an intense, reflective way and are on the trail of the meaning of their lives between sex, violence and drugs, in short, Eros and death. Is it an escape into the individual itself or out of it? Is it enlightenment, compulsion, or philosophical search for meaning as a means of escape?
